Kumamoto University (熊本大学 ), is a Japanese public university located in Kumamoto,Kumamoto prefecture in the Kyushu region of Japan. Currently, the university has seven faculties and eight graduate schools with a total of around 10,000 Japanese students and 400 international students from Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Oceania. Shandong University has established close cooperative relationships with Kumamoto University since 2002. The medical symposium between the two universities this year is the fourth Shandong University-Kumamoto University Medical Symposium (2012 in Kumamoto; 2013 in Jinan; 2014 in Kumamoto).
